privacy
lowkey type is designed to be used by children, including students under 13, so it is built to collect as little as possible. this page describes exactly what the site does and does not do.
there are no accounts. a student does not sign up, log in, or provide a name, email address, or any other identifying information to use the site.
there is no third-party analytics. the site does not embed analytics, advertising, or social media services, and it does not build profiles of visitors.
there are no cookies used for tracking. the site does not set tracking or advertising cookies.
all progress is stored locally on the device, in the browser’s IndexedDB storage. lesson progress and per-key statistics never leave the device. clearing the browser’s site data removes them completely.
there are no third-party requests. adaptive practice and the short end-of-exercise note are generated entirely on the device, in the browser — nothing about a student’s typing, choices, or progress is sent to lowkey type’s servers or to any outside service.
data retention: no server-side storage of student data. there is no student data to retain, because none is collected or transmitted.
